Summer hat card

I have made my own template for this thankyou card, and not without a bit of trial and error, but I'm so pleased with the finished product. Many challenge themes are currently combining Summer and I thought a hat could be appopriate. I've used the colours I love, they emit that vintage, shabby chic feel. There are 2 different ribbons and some lace and the hat pins I made myself. The hat stand is kraft cardstock and given some dimension with copics, (W1 & E31) and the flowers on it are a die cut from a Papermania paper pad.

This card is for the following challenges,
The Shabby Tea Room - Summer Fun challenge
(and we know we should all wear hats in Summer)
Whoopsi Daisy challenge - Ribbons & Bows
A Spoonful of Sugar - Sunshine Inspired card
KL Stampin N Scrappin - Let's get Shabby

Hope you like it!

  3. Like it?! I LOVE IT!! Oh My Sweet Lord, this is AMASING! I have just been looking at it for about an hour now, I just keep on going back for a peek! You are a very tallented lady :O)
I wonder if it would be ok if I tryed to make a simular card? I would make my own template, and you see my best friend is getting married in the autumn and I have been trying to think of something really special to make for her and hats are so wedding! ( they are in the uk anyway :O) so what do you say? could I lift your idea? I would of course make a link back to your blog telling where I got the fantastic idea from....

    Waiting in antisipation...
