Shaker Card

Can you believe this is my very first shaker card? I have made it for my cousin's children and it was so much fun to make. It's also for the challenge at Simply Magnolia this week which is Christmas and it is sponsored by Jacobi

I have used an older Magnolia Santa stamp with the new Spruce die inside the shaker box and added a few more pressies on the outside. Snow on the tree, Santa's hat and cuff have had some sparkly fluff added and the silver glitter for shaking is from Martha Stewart. Merry Christmas stamp is from Stamp It.Siler sequin ribbon border I found while looking through my old Christmas stash!

It's time for a new challenge at Simply Magnolia and this time you are challenged to use Autumn colours. Up for grabs is a set of stamps from Duymelot. Here is the inspirational image.

I have stamped Happy Tilda, Bees and part of the Oak Tree. I have coloured with copics, papers from My Minds Eye and grass is a Magnolia die. I cut out the grass with X-Press It blending paper and coloured it to match. Other items used include vintage seam binding, Prima pebbles and metal charm, chipboard and some old spare buttons.

This time the challenge is to create something following the Shabby Chic style. Think of lace, ribbon, flowers(lots of them) and pale colours with white. It would have to be one of my favourite styles for home decorating but in my house things would never stay clean!

I have used 'Tilda in Rubber Boots' and paper pierced her dress and hat. The remainder of the image was coloured with copics. Paper from My Mind's Eye, Lost & Found BLUSH paper pad.

Hello, hope all is well. Today I have a new card to share using 'Tilda with Flowerpot'.

For this card I have made my own background paper for the Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge and had quite a bit of fun doing it. After 3 different stamps, 3 different inks, versamark, clear embossing powder and my heat gun, below is what I came up with.

Tilda was coloured with copics. For her jacket I used BG70, 72 & 75.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Dies is Spellbinders beaded oval.

Anything Goes at Simply Magnolia

This week at Simply Magnolia our challenge is nice & easy 'Anything Goes' and you have a chance to win a prize pack of colour core paper from De Egel Kaartenmakerij. I hope you can join us.

I have made a pocket card for a gift voucher and note, therefore the 2 tags. I have used Tilda goes Shopping stamp, Whimsy text stamp and a new Stempelglede stamp on the edges. Papers are from Lost and Found 'Rosy' paper pad. I really like this one and may just have to get another!

Tilda has been coloured with Copics but it was quite awhile ago so all I can remember is that I used RV00, R81, R83 & R85 for her top/shoes/bag. W00, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9 and tip to tip method with a little black. I've also added some stickles to her bling!

A card for Lily

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying a lovely day. Last night I had a 1st birthday card to make and of course I'd left it to the last minute! I came across this sweet digi stamp from Wee stamps and Suzi is just so cute I had to create a card with her on it for a sweet little girl called Lily.

DPs are Gossomer from Memory Box, heart swirl die from Magnolia, lace from stash, flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid crafts. Not a huge amount of extras on this one as I didn't want to distract to much from the image.

Well here I am again with another Teddy Bo image, this one is called 'Lazy Days' and that's just how I want today to be. It is Sunday here after all!

I have coloured with copics E30, E31, E34 for bear, BG72, BG10 for hat and clothing, R22, R24 and a bit of a YR colour for flower. Grass is a mixture of G and YG colours. (sorry I forgot to write them down) Papers are Memeory Box 'Valise" paper pad. Clouds are with made using stencil with tumbled glass distress ink. Embellies are from my stash. I am very excited to share my very first DT card and I have used 3 different images on a centre stair/step card. The reason for this is that I wanted to use a banner and thought this would suit it perfectly.

Hello again, if you think you have seen this image recently, you're right. I used the same pram digi image to make a boys card. I must admit it was much more fun making the girly card with the flowers and lace.

Papers are just a mixture of scraps and offcuts from previous projects. From Wild Orchid Crafts I have used pink and 2tone pink sweetheart blossoms, 2tone baby pink heather flowers, 10mm pale pink open rose aswell as the beautiful white guipure lace. Die cut is Tilda lace, pearl swirls from Prima, the text button and lace butterfly are from my stash.

I have used a Kenny Ks digital image called air guitar, coloured with copics along with Kaisercraft's Shaken not Stirred paper pad. Text and numbers are foil and have been cut with Ecraft cutter.

Hi, today I have a gift card holder to share with you. A very dear lady that lived next door to me when I was growing up is celebrating her 90th Birthday today. I was extremely lucky to have both her and her husband as extra grandparents throughout my life, as the only ones I had lived 8 hours away. As a very small child (still in nappies) I would sneak out the house to join them for breakfast at 6am each morning. When Mum and Dad found out and put an extra lock on the door I just jumped out my metre high window instead. Mmmmm! She loves playing lotto and so I have a few tickets to give to her along with her gift. This is what I made to put them in.

Masculine card

Hi all, this was a hard one as I often find it difficult to make men/boys cards. Must be the lack of all things pretty. But it's my Uncle's birthday this week and I came across a sketch with a spin challenge at The Sweet Stop. The twist is, it has to be masculine. I combined this with the challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers which is dry emboss your background and here is what I came up with.

Stamp is Magnolia- Sea background from the BonVoyage collection. I have coloured with copics, and used 'stormy sky' distress ink with my inkessentials blending tool for the sky. Top of waves have some stickles and die is from spellbinders.

I have used 'Tilda with Balloon' and 'Balloon Background' stamps. I have coloured with copics and glittered the balloons and this would have to be one of my favourite colour combos.

Tulip Wheelbarrow

Hi, I'm pleased blogger is now working again so I can show you my Get Well card. I have used the Magnolia 'Tulip Wheelbarrow' stamp from the Butterfly Dreams collection. The mauve paper with the butterflies is from the same collection and the spotted paper is one from a long time ago and I have no idea what it is. I have used the Magnolia swirl die and spellbinder die for the sentiment. The gorgeous butterfly buckle is really pretty, so I used it on the bow. You can find them HERE.

I even managed to decorate the inside of the card this time. I have used part of the 'Tulip Walkway' stamp.

As usual I have coloured with copics, the tulips were coloured with V0000, V01, V12 and a little RV34.

Paper Sundaes DT Call

Card for Mum

Hello, I hope you have all spoilt your Mum's today and for those of you that are mother's yourselves I hope your day has been special also. This is the card I made for my Mum. Quite awhile ago she spotted the Prima butterflies and matching flowers in my stash and mentioned how nice they were. (I got the hint!) Blue rose is also from Prima and the white one is from Wild Orchid Crafts. Papers are all Prima and so is the lace. I have used the green ribbon I have had for ages along with the chipboard flourishes and feathers. It turned out very pretty and most importantly Mum liked it. Stamp is an old one from Kaisercraft, it was the only one I had that said happy Mother's Day.

As my girls always prefer my handmade cards to give to their friends, I thought I would get some done ahead of time. I got this digi image from KennyKdownloads and coloured it with copics. I embossed the text and used a spellbinders die for the tag it's on. Papers are from Basic Grey's 'Olivia' paper pad. Now my girls are arguing over who should have it!

I have been a very lucky girl this week, not only have I had a prize arrive at my door from a recent win but I received a free copy of the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine with one of my cards pictured in it!

Talk about exciting.

Although I am a big fan of Copics, with my prize being a gift voucher recently I decided to indulge in some more distress inks to have a go at colouring with them. After seeing so many gorgeous images coloured this way in Magnolia Ink and on many blogs I found it too tempting not to try. This card is my first go with the inks, it turned out a little darker than expected but not bad for a first go! (I have to remember a little ink goes a long way)

This is 'Wilma' from Magnolia and text stamp is from Whiff of Joy. All die cut shapes are from Spellbinders and the bow was made with the Bow Easy tool.

It's gorgeous and I couldn't wait to colour it.

The papers are from Pink Paislee (text) and Prima (dots). Pins I made myself and most everything else I found hiding in my stash. Scallop circle was cut with spellbinders die and hearts with ECraft machine. Edges inked with blender tool and Versafine vintage sepia. Doily and image have had a light spray of Glimmermist, Walnut Gold.

I have really been missing my crafting room lately so during our hot weather the last few days I decided to make the most of staying inside out of the heat. Just a little something to share today, it's a small gift bag I made for a friend which I'm entering in to the Colour Throwdown Challenge #122

Made with only the 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper from Bo Bunny's fabulous 'Noel' range. I have used spellbinders dies to create the acetate window and a Martha Stewart punch for top flap. Kaisercraft pearls and some Making Memories flowers.

Hi to you all. Even though this little set was finished last night, it was far too late for my eyes to sit at the computer to share. At 3.30am I needed some sleep.

I have used Kaisercraft papers from the Le Chateau Collection and the a fantastic Martha Stewart border punch. The front of the card is based on an acrylic sheet which gives it a different effect and works well with the clear sleeve box.

Wednesdays Challenge at All That Scraps is to make a clear card.
I have also followed the sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

This is Tilda with Birdcage, I have had her for awhile now and have only just got around to using her. Flowers are a mixure from Magnolia, Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts & Zva.

Secretive Tilda is so very cute, I have made this easel card with a paper I had been wanting to use for ages. I sprayed the square lace doily & smaller lace doily with Walnut Gold glimmer mist and have based the card on gold cardstock. Tree stump and sentiment stamp is from Whiff of Joy, Lillies are from Magnolia and the swirls are courtesy of my new Ecraft digital cutter. Butterflies are new from Prima aswell as the pebble.

This is an Anniversary card I made for a wonderful couple celebrating their Pearl (30th) Wedding Anniversary. I've chosen to keep it very clean and simple.

Embossing folder is new 'Budding Vine' from Craft Concepts, label is from Martha Stewart and the gorgeous flower is one of Prima's new Rosetti Roses. I did change the rhinestone centre to a Kaisercraft pearl brad to fit the pearl theme.

For winning Challenge #14 at The Shabby Tea Room recently not only was I lucky enough to win some gorgeous vintage seam binding but I have also been given the opportunity to be their guest designer this week. What an honour as these girls create some absolutely lovely designs.

This is an easel card I have made using a Bildmalarna image coloured with Copic markers. Papers are from Wild Rose Studio's paper pads, stamped text is from Whiff of Joy (Magic Moments) and Hero Arts (inside).

I have also used my oval Spellbinders die, Cuttlebug tag die and Sizzix large scallop tag die. And it was only fitting that I made use of some of my vintage seam binding. What a humbling day I have had today. After coming home from work and dealing with everyones day I hopped on the computer to find Melissa from Moe Creations had honoured me with my very first blog award. Thanks Melissa!

I can't seem to go far away from the colour pink, although at times I do try!

Card for Fairy Fun Fridays

On Friday the 13th of this month, I was lucky enough to win Top Spot over at Fairy Fun Fridays for one of my cards. (see here) I was so excited, it made my day, so a big thankyou to those lovely ladies for choosing me. xx

Aswell as my prize of 3 designs I also get to be their featured designer this week. The theme is 'Punch It' and here is the card I created with one of Prairie Fairy Designs images, Barrel Planter.

This card uses a Martha Stewart border punch, two different butterfly punches aswell as Spellbinders die 'Labels 3' & corner decorations from Shapeabilities Pendants, 'Kaleidoscope' and the Slice machine for the white scroll/flourish across the top. Paper is from the new Papermania paper pad 'Summer Bloom' and I have also used gorgeous vintage seam binding and Kaisercraft pearls.

I have used specialty paper from local art store and cardstock, black lace, pink ribbon, flowers from Zva Creative and Wild Orchid Crafts, Cuttlebug and embossing folder, Ink blending tool with Versa Magic chalk inkpad (Pixie Dust) Chipboard lantern from Dusty Attic coloured black with copic marker and covered in dimensional magic.

Here I've tried to create a card in the shape of a shell, it is all freehand. The stamps are both from Magnolia's Bon Voyage collection. Inside the card I have used acetate to make Tilda hold up the top of the card when open.

Edwin card

At last I'm begining to get back into my papercrafting, it seems like months more than weeks. I have had a lot going on and haven't felt very inspired. This is the first time I have used a stamp from my Magnolia stamp kit which arrived a couple of weeks ago. When I first saw this image, the words 'hang in there' came to mind, here is 'Dangling Edwin' from the new Bon Voyage collection. I've also used the rope, pelican and text stamp.

I have made this card for the Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge #16, the theme is to use an Edwin stamp.

Here is the inside, I put the text inside the lifesaving ring image and coloured it aswell as the pelican with copics. The 'tide always turns' text has been stamped. Edge was done with a fiskars punch.

Here you can see how I've used the acetate and added a Hambly Screen Prints white rubon and some Papermania rhinestones.

My very first Criss Cross card! I've used Tilda with Peony and coloured with copics. The paper I have had for ages and I cannot even remember from where. The scallop along the crossed edges is actually the edge of some lace. The pull tab oval at the top of the insert was made from a Spellbinders die.

I have used these papers from Kaiser's Christmas range frome last year called 'Christmas Carnival' The colours work in perfectly for The Colour Throwdown Challenge #100.The ornaments and text edges, have been sparkled up with some 3D Kindy Glitz, 'glittered crystalina'. Bow was made with the fantastic bow easy and stitched to the ribbon. I used some double sided tape to ruffle the tails of the bow.

Wednesday Challenge at All That Scraps is to make a box in a bag, This is my first one and I pleasantly suprised at how easy they are to make. I have used image called Rosalie with Roses, copics to colour with and a few embellishments. The gorgeous ribbon is actually vintage seam binding from a recent prize. You can get your very own at Debbie's Etsy shop. It comes in a great range of colours too!

This bag is also for the Colour Create Challenge which is pink, peach and black.

A Pocket Full Of Posies current challenge is 'One for the Girls' and I've entered this aswell.

Summer Strawberries

Isn't it amazing just what two pieces of cardstock can create. I've used my 'daisy' embossing folder on the white cardstock aswell as inked some edges with versamark silver ink to add some dimension. Scalloped cicles are made with spellbinders die and butterflies with a punch. Pin embellishments I made, while the ribbons, flowers, Kaisercraft pearls and Papermania mini rhinestones are from my stash.

Laying Nora (digi stamp) is surrounded with bright Summer colours. Papers are Making Memories, Flutter range aswell as some cardstock. Colour theme over at The Shabby Tea Room is to combine hot pink, bright green and cool turquoise. Their challenge theme this week is 'Popsicles & Pinwheels' You'll see I made some pinwheels too and they are soooo easy. This is the inspirational image to help get you started.

The challenge over at Project Tuesday is a Fry Box, tutorial is included. I've taken photos of the box on its own so you can better see its shape. They are a great alternative for lolly bags.

Easel Birthday Card

Here is a gorgeous image from Sarah Kay called 'My Sweet Lili.' The papers I used have been hidden somewhere within the large collection of papers I'd forgotten about. I think I purchased them around 3 years ago. Papers are EK Success and edges have been inked. Heart is bordered with a cream heart shaped doily, while the smaller heart is from the centre of that same doily. Other products used include Prima flowers, Fiskars border punch, Spellbinders oval die, Kaisercraft Happy Birthday stamp, aswell as a few other bits and pieces I had.

I found this image and decided to make a birthday card for my children to give to Pa. He loves old cars. Papers used are a mixture of Websters, Prima and Kaiser. Now I'm going to keep this short as the internet connection is playing up and I better be quick.

Coloured with copic markers, border punch is from EK Success. The off cuts I have used to help border the image. Waste not want not!

The card is an open swing top card which is the challenge over at Project Tuesday. Another first for me and quite a clever idea for something different.

I've also used stripes and some of the colour theme for the Shabby Tea Room challenge this week. "Cottage Comfort" is the theme, so I've tried to give this card a warm vintage feel. Head on over to see their inspiring image.

I can't help but go back to my favourite colours and stamps. Sweet Tilda has been masked and surrounded by these lovely little flowers. It's a boy's card this time, using Justin's Icecream image by Maurie J manning. I've used some older Kaisercraft papers - Rustic Charm and my always reliable cuttlebug for the embossed paper. Coloured with copic markers, Kaiser pearls, silver ink pad for highlighting edges and embossed paper aswell as a couple of beads with a charm.

Summer hat card

I have made my own template for this thankyou card, and not without a bit of trial and error, but I'm so pleased with the finished product. Many challenge themes are currently combining Summer and I thought a hat could be appopriate. I've used the colours I love, they emit that vintage, shabby chic feel. There are 2 different ribbons and some lace and the hat pins I made myself. The hat stand is kraft cardstock and given some dimension with copics, (W1 & E31) and the flowers on it are a die cut from a Papermania paper pad.

Vintage style

Something a little different, I tried the cracked glass effect over my stamped collage image.
The ticket, postcard image and text are all new stamps I have never got around to using until now. The rose is a digital image I based the others around. Yes, there was a bit of masking to do. After colouring with my copics I layered clear embossing powder several times. Once thick enough it went into the freezer to harden enough for me to crack.

I've used Websters Pages and brown cardstock. The doilie and flowers have been given a coat of Tattered Angels - Walnut Gold glimmer mist although you can't see it shimmering in these photos.

I'm entering this into the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams - Challenge #53 Strawberry & Chocolate colour combo.

Aswell as the Sketch and Stash Challenge #37 - The sketch is below and you have to use something new, never used or neglected. I've used the stamps I mentioned earlier, new lace and a new pendant charm. I've also turned the sketch on its side.

Magnolia Lion

Hi to you all, today I chose to use this Lion stamp from Magnolia to make a Father's Day card. Even though it won't be needed here in Australia until September a few challenges have this theme and I now have an early start. As my father is no longer with us I will give it to one of my children to give their Dad.

I have used kraft paper to stamp this image on and coloured with copics. Colour choice was a bit of trial and error to get what I wanted but he looks pretty good. Papers are from Paperloft's -Grandma's House range with some brown cardstock also. Edges coloured with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and blended in further with a shimmery brown chalk. (Unfortunately you can't really see this effect in these photos)

Good morning all. It's 3am and I'm way past my bedtime. I do often stay up late but even this is crazy for me as I was up at 6am yesterday. Anyhow, I got my second wind and decided to finish my birdhouse card.

Strawberries & Cream with chocolate of course!

Strawberries is the name for this sweetie and I found her at Sliekje digi Stamps They have a lot of cute images and get this, they are all free! Yes you heard right, the lovely Sliekje loves to draw and is generous enough to share them with us. How lucky are we.
I have coloured with copic markers but can't for the life of me remember what colours I used. Except R20 on the hat and E41 for her dress. I will have to do better than this next time.

Here is a close up of the flowers, I have raised them with foam dots but kept them flat to the bottom of the card. The second photo will give you a better view. Gold glitter kindy glitz is spotted in the centre of these flowers which are from Websters Pages - Lullaby Lane collection.
That's also the reason for the bottom of the card being shaped as this is the die cut paper from that range.

Princess Tilda

This gorgeous Princess Tilda would have to be my favourite right now and I love the old armchair. I have used a Papermainia paper pad, which included the die cut butterfly and text. (so easy) Ribbon, flowers, beads and charm I had already. I've paper pierced the cushion for the chair and coloured the rest in good old shabby chic style. Tilda has some stickled frosted lace and I have left the shoes white and topped them off with dimesional magic to keep the image light. Here is a close up of the stamps coloured with copic markers.

Here's the closer view of the coloured image. I've used the dimensional magic on the icecream and the spica pen on the top of her thongs. Unfortunately I cannot remember which copic colurs I used. I packed up before I took any photos.

This was also going to go into a challenge using the colours green, brown & blue.
That explains the colour choice. These papers are from Bo Bunny.

I haven't added a lot to this card as the papers are pretty busy already and I didn't want to take focus away from the image. Plus I was up really late last night finishing it! or should I say early this morning. This sweet digi image is again coloured with copics and paper is from October Afternoon. I'm entering this card into the Copic Creations challenge which is an animal theme. It isn't always easy creating the furry look but I was happy with how this turned out.

Why not have a go aswell....

I've used Memento ink on this Magnolia stamp and coloured in with copic markers. (see colour list below)The scallop circle is Spellbinders and on the white circles I have used my InkEssentials blending tool with Versa Magic's 'Pixie Dust' chalk ink pad to soften the edges. (a bit heavy handed tonight though) Finished off with stickles 'Frosted Lace' and Prima flowers.

Not many markers used for this one!

Of course the bow was made simply with the BOW EASY.

Round & Round Boy Card

For my son's birthday I decided to have my first go at a step card. He has always loved dinosaurs and dragons, so when I came across this digi image I new it would be perfect.

I've coloured with copic markers, black spica pen and hightlighted with a white gel pen.

I cut the present and balloons with my Cuttlebug dies and used the Spellbinders ovals for the image. The balloons are on wire to make them stand out.

This is my very first explosion card. When you lift off the lid the sides fall down as shown in the picture below. Thay can be a little time consuming, but the finished product looks awesome.

This is Noble Tilda, surrounded with various flowers (glittered with Kindy Glitz), Maya Road pins, and two Magnolia butterflies, which I have stuck onto long pieces of acetate to have them flying free. I have used Websters Papers, cardstock and finished off some edges with a Martha Stewart border punch.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there.

This is the card and matching gift bag I decorated for my Mum for Mother's Day. Inside are her favorite chocolates. I followed the recipe challenge over at Cupcake Crafts. It was all the 3's.

I've kept it simple. Paper's are from Papermania, Kaisercraft pearls, Magnolia garland, Prima flowers, white blossoms and ribbons from my pile at home. Martha stewart punch. I used my spellbinder dies to create the ovals and ink blending tool around the edge of the white oval. Plain white craft bag from Spotlight I decorated to coordinate with the card.
